CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Abstract

The aim of this work was to develop a process of chemical hydrolytic hydrogenation of cellulose wheat straw, with the aim of increasing the yield of valuable products necessary for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical indus-tries. To obtain cellulose wheat straw carried out the process of auto hydrolysis. Studies have been conducted to study the process of chemical hydrolytic hydrolysis and hydrogenation of cellulose from rice processing waste, and optimal process parameters have been developed. As a result, we have implemented a combined (hybrid) hydrolysis-hydrogenation process for producing sorbitol. Developed catalysts for this process, investigated their activity. The influence of the temperature of the experiment, pH, hydrogen pressure, the nature of the acid used, the reducing agent, the amount and nature of the supported catalyst that promotes the addition of ferroalloy on the conversion of polysac-charide and selectivity for sorbitol mannitol is investigated. The processes we developed allow us to improve the traditional processes in terms of eliminating numerous stages of purification and isolation of intermediate products. They enable the implementation of a one-pot combined (hybrid) process for the production of such valuable chemicals as sorbitol.
