Philosophy of CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

The philosophy of “Kimyo va kimyo texnologiyasi” (Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering) is to familiarize the public with activities aimed at gaining new knowledge that transforms the world. This process is governed by publication ethics.

Who Can Submit?

Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING. Publication Fee

The editors charge authors for the preparation, placement and printing of materials. After passing a positive review, the authors pay for the article at the rate of 5 USD per page. Residents of Uzbekistan pay in the sum equivalent. The invoice will be sent to the email address.

Formatting Requirements

CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING accepts previously unpublished original materials corresponding to the topics of the journal in English, Russian and Uzbek. The review papers are not accepted.

You need to submit to the editor:

• article file a Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or RTF;

• author’s certificate, including the last name, first name and patronymic name in Uzbek, Russian and English, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of each author.

The size of the paper should not be less than 5 pages and exceed 10 pages, printed in 12 font with single-space interval (Times New Roman, Uzbek - Latin font). The number of authors should not exceed 5.

Articles are subject to peer-review, scientific and technical editing. If necessary, the article can be sent for correction or revision. The relations of the editorial board with the authors are based on the principles of publication ethics (PUBLICATION ETHICS).

The article should be structured:

  • title;
  • abstract, author's summary;
  • introduction;
  • research methods (including equipment);
  • results and discussion;
  • conclusion;
  • acknowledgments;
  • references.

Articles are placed in the journal upon receipt by the editor.

AUTHOR'S CHARGES

Authors pay for the submitted article after the editorial office announces that the article has been accepted for publication in the amount established on the date the article was accepted for each page. The invoice is issued by editor or sent by e-mail. Payment is possible on a contract basis.

Rights for Authors and Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING does not assume copyright from the copyright holder.

Attribution and Usage Policies

Reproduction, posting, transmission or other distribution or use of the article or any material therein, in any medium as permitted by a personal-use exemption or by written agreement, requires credit to the copyright holder.

Personal-use Exceptions

The following uses are always permitted to the author(s) and do not require further permission from CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING provided the author does not alter the format or content of the articles, including the copyright notification:

  • Storage and back-up of the article on the author's computer(s) and digital media (e.g., diskettes, back-up servers, Zip disks, etc.), provided that the article stored on these computers and media is not readily accessible by persons other than the author(s);
  • Posting of the article on the author(s) personal website, provided that the website is non-commercial;
  • Posting of the article on the internet as part of a non-commercial open access institutional repository or other non-commercial open access publication site affiliated with the author(s)'s place of employment (e.g., a Phrenology professor at the University of Southern North Dakota can have her article appear in the University of Southern North Dakota's Department of Phrenology online publication series); and
  • Posting of the article on a non-commercial course website for a course being taught by the author at the university or college employing the author.

PUBLICATION ETHICS

The editors of the journal are guided by the principles recommended by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE).

The editor is making a decision about publication, which is guided by the scientific significance and reliability of the work (lack of plagiarism and fraudulent data). The editors have the right to accept or reject the article. Editors should not have a conflict of interest when making a decision. The editors are obliged to make corrections or withdraw the article when errors are found. Authors are not allowed to publish the same study in more than one journal. The authors of the publication can only be those who have made a significant contribution to the formation of the concept of work, development, execution or interpretation of the presented research. The authors are obliged to immediately inform the editors about the errors found for correction or removal of the article. Authors are required to participate in the review process. Reviewers must be objective and respect the confidentiality of peer-reviewed articles. Reviewers are required to exclude a conflict of interest with respect to the study, the authors or sponsors of the study. Reviewers should indicate relevant published work that is not yet cited.

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering website and/or software agree not to misuse the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering service or software in any way.

The failure of the copyright holder to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.
