Abstract

The results of research on the use and return technogenic microsilica into the process of producing silicon metal and ferrosilicon are presented. The chemical composition and granulometric structure, physical and mechanical properties of microsilica and the possibility of preparing briquetted charge on its basis are studied. The results of melting silicon and ferrosilicon in an electric furnace obtained by using microsilica are presented.
