Abstract
Phototoxic metal complexes (Mo (VI), Zn, Cu and Co (II)) with harmine and harmaline have been studied by electron spectroscopy and PMR. Garmaline predominantly protonated in acid media and formed onium compounds. Harmine molecule basic properties are less pronounced, and formation of coordination compounds with the neutral and protonated ligand forms is possible.
