Abstract
The aim of the study is the synthesis of decorative glass based on basalt from the Osmansai deposit. The chemical and mineralogical composition of basalt was studied, in which phases of anorthite, actinolite, magnetite, and gonnardite were found. To synthesize glasses and prevent spontaneous crystallization, the region of glass formation in the quartz-basalt-soda system was studied. Decorative glasses of several colors for architectural purposes have been synthesized. The physical and technical properties of glasses are determined. The possibility of synthesis of decorative glasses of some colors without the use of coloring components has been proved.
