Abstract
The main goal is to recover spent alkanolamine (methyldiethanolamine) used in natural gas purification. The negative changes resulting from the destruction of alkanolamine, which affect its physicochemical properties, absorption volume, and gas cleaning efficiency, have been studied. One of the main factors affecting the working properties and extraction of alkanolamine is its saturation with heat-resistant salts, organic acids, bicines, di-, tri-, tetra-amine compounds. As a result of the analysis, it was found that it is possible to increase the efficiency of gas cleaning by removing unwanted alkanolamines and reusing the absorbent in the gas cleaning process, extending the service life.
