Abstract

In this article the alcoholysis process conditions of secondary polyethylene terephthalate with the mixture of polyhydric alcohols have been investigated. This study has found that the aggregative state of the products of alcoholysis of secondary polyethylene terephthalate with glycerol is solid, and does not meet the requirements of the technological indicator of polyurethane foam. The structure of the resulting hydroxyl-containing polyether polyols was studied by IR spectroscopy. The influence of the physicochemical properties of alcoholysis products on the molar ratio of SPET with glycerine and the duration of the reaction has been shown. The structure and technological properties of the products obtained have been determined. There have been achieved to obtain adjusting the viscosity and flowing hydroxyl-containing polyether polyols on the basis of polyhydric alcohols through alcoholysis.
