Abstract

The purpose of this work was to study the effect of boron oxide on the physico-chemical and technological properties of glasses of the Na2O–CaO–MgO–SiO2–P2O5 system. The study of crystallization ability, density, the temperature of the onset of softening, as well as the chemical stability of experimental glasses modified with boron oxide, made it possible to indirectly assess their ability to dissolve in aqueous solutions and show bioactive properties. The article presents the results of the influence of B2O3 on the viscosity of the studied glasses and the value of their microhardness. The structure of experimental glasses is studied by infrared spectroscopy.
